Last Thursday, Ravi B, of popular Chutney Soca band Karma, signed the agreement to become the first Chutney Soca spokesperson for ORCHARD® Drinks in the bottle at the company’s Head Office in Valsayn. Manager, Vaneeta Gobin, and NESTLÉ officials, Karina Hyland, Senior Consumer Marketing Manager – Juices and Drinks, Ornella Gill, Consumer Marketing Specialist – Juices and Drinks and Marc Clarke, Events & Sampling Coordinator, were all present to witness the occasion.
Ravi B will immediately represent ORCHARD® Drinks in the bottle, both locally and regionally. He joins the likes of fellow soca artiste Nadia Batson, who represents the ORCHARD® Calorie Conscious range of juice drinks.
ORCHARD® recently launched its Drinks Range in a new (bottle) format to answer the call of consumers desirous of enjoying a nutritious fruit drink, ‘on-the-go’. Its Drinks, now in a 490ml bottle, are perfectly sized to meet this need.
While consumer demand for more conveniently packaged goods has increased, the demand, worldwide, for more nutritious food and beverage options also continues to rise. This, as a result of a noted increase in the incidence of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) reported by the World Health Organization (WHO). Ravi’s B special ORCHARD® rendition of his Carnival 2017 hit “Budget” is already making the rounds on radio, and the new ambassador expressed with great pride, his excitement to be a part of the NESTLÉ family as its first Chutney Soca spokesperson. “Since (I was) small I’ve been drinking ORCHARD, so this partnership is truly a perfectly natural choice,” signalling his synergy with the brand’s popular tagline.
At the contract signing, Ms. Karina Hyland, Senior Consumer Marketing Manager, echoed Ravi B’s sentiment as she welcomed the former Chutney Soca Monarch to the NESTLÉ family. “ORCHARD® is happy to have Ravi B on board as our very first Chutney Soca ambassador and hopes the relationship and brands – both Ravi’s and ORCHARD’s – will continue to grow, from strength to strength” stated Hyland.
